Overview
The Figwee Results Log is where you record your fitness progress. This is where you track things like your weight, body fat, and measurements. The Results Log is also photographic. Figwee provides a photo representing each result tracking item.
The Results Log page is selected by clicking on "Results Log" in the top navigation bar. The Results Log page contains the My Results list in the left display panel, the Results Log diary itself in the large center panel, and space available for two progress charts in the upper and lower right side panels.
The main reason to make results log entries is to chart your progress. The Figwee progress charts make it easy to identify your fitness trends. See Charts for more on this.
Diary Date. The Results Log shows and records entries for one day at a time. The active day is known as the Figwee Diary Date. This is the date you select using the left / right buttons at the top of Figwee, or through the Calendar window. When you first bring up Figwee, the current date will be selected for you automatically, so if you are making Results Log entries for "today" you usually don't have to change the diary date. For more information, see Diary Date.
Adding an Entry to The Results Log
There are two ways to add an item to the Results Log: Search and from an existing "My Results" item.
Add Results Log Entry Using Search
Search will allow you to look for an results in the Figwee database to enter into the Results Log. Call up search by clicking the Add button at the top right of the Results Log diary view.
Search works a little differently for Results items. Since there are only a small number of available choices, calling up Search for Results items simply shows you all available choices without you having to type in any search phrase. Just click on the photo of the results item you wish to add, the Search dialog will close, and the results entry will appear in the Results Log diary.
Add Results Entry From "My Results"
You can also add a results entry to the Results Log from your "My Results" items. My Results provides a way of saving your most frequently used result tracking items. You can add a "My Results" item to the Results Log by clicking on the photo of the item in the My Results list, by clicking on the "plus" button of the My Results item, or by dragging and dropping the My Results item onto the Results Log diary.
Removing an Entry From the Results Log
To remove an item from the Results Log, simply click the "X" button for the results entry you wish to remove. A dialog box will come up asking you to confirm the removal. Note that removing an entry from the Results Log does not delete it entirely from the database of available result tracking items; it is just removed from the list of result entries for that specific diary date. You can search again for the results and add it back anytime you wish.
Editing a Results Log Entry
When you add a results item to the log, it will initially have no values or only basic default values. You need to edit the results log entry to set the values you are tracking. To do so, click the "pencil" button next to the results item you wish to edit. When you do, the Edit Result dialog will be displayed which will allow you to set values for the log diary entry. Each results item tracks different things; a description of some of the most common results items follows:
Weight - Perhaps the most used results item, this is where you track changes in your weight. There is one entry field for your current weight. The Weight results item will display how much you have gained or lost since you last weight entry. It will also display your target weight, and how far along you are toward your goal.
How is Weight Tracking Used? The Weight results entry is important because the most recent weight result is used in calculating calories burned in the activity log. By weighing yourself once a week or so, you will ensure that your calories burned estimates remain accurate.
Body Fat % - One generally accepted measure of physical fitness is body fat percentage. Body fat percentage is simply the percentage of fat your body contains. If your body fat is at 25%, that means that 25% of your weight is accounted for in fat, and 75% is composed of lean body mass like bone, muscle, organs, blood, etc. There are many consumer scales now that provide body fat readings, and Figwee will allow you to track changes in your body fat. According to the American Council on Exercise, here are some classifications of body fat:
| Classification | Women | Men |
| Essential | 10-12% | 2-4% |
| Athletes | 14-20% | 6-13% |
| Fitness | 21-24% | 14-17% |
| Acceptable | 25-31% | 18-25% |
| Obese | over 31% | over 25% |
Resting Heart Rate - One easy measure of your cardio vascular fitness is your resting heart rate. By tracking this in your results log, you can chart your fitness over time. Resting heart rate is measured in Beats Per Minute. According to the American Heart Association, it is best taken fist thing in the morning before you get out of bed. Normal range is between 60 to 80 beats per minute. It usually rises with age, but is generally lower in physically fit people. A very low resting heart rate (below 60) can either indicate an extreme level of fitness, or potentially serious heart disease. Consult your doctor when evaluating changes in your heart rate.
Blood Pressure - Figwee allows you to track your blood pressure. Blood pressure is measured in two values: Systolic is the pressure while the heart contracts to pump blood; diastolic is the pressure when the heart relaxes between beats. Blood pressure is usually reported as the systolic value "over" the diastolic value. A blood pressure at or below 120 over 80 is considered optimal for adults. A systolic pressure of 120 to 139, or a diastolic pressure of 80 to 89, is considered prehypertension. A reading of 140 over 90 or higher is considered elevated. A doctor or other medical professional should check your blood pressure on a regular basis, especially if it is elevated. Many people also monitor their blood pressure at home, and Figwee can help record your readings.
Measurements - There are a number of result items available to track various physical measurements: Biceps, Calf, Chest, Hip, Neck, Thigh, and Waist. All take a single value, the size in inches or centimeters.
Fitness Tests - The Figwee results log includes a number of test items you can use to record your fitness progress. Examples include timed mile walk / run, chin-up test, push-up test, sit-up test, and VO2 Max.
Daily Journal - This is simply a place for you to record your thoughts during the day. How were you feeling? What was your level of energy? How hungry were you? Comments on a new accomplishment or setback. Whatever comes to mind.
Saving a Results Log Entry to My Results

If you right-click on an results log entry, a special context menu will appear. A group of choices on this menu allow you to set a tab color for the results log diary entry. The meaning of the colors is up to you...this is simply a way for you to arbitrarily organize your results log items. See below for how to sort the results log list by color.
Sorting the Results Log List
You can sort the results log diary list by right clicking on an results in the diary view and choosing the sort order from the context menu. The available sort options are: the order in which you entered the log entries and the name of the results item. When you add new log entries, they will automatically be inserted in the proper place in the diary list based on your selected sort order.
Printing the Results Log List
You can print the results log list by clicking on the little printer button in the results log view header area.
