Overview
While Figwee includes an extensive activity database with hundreds of items, if there is ever an activity you do regularly that is not specifically available in Figwee already, you can add it. It is easy to add a new activity item, and this help section will describe the process.
How to Begin
To create a new activity in Figwee, begin by selecting an existing built-in Figwee activity from which to base the new one. Select any activity that has a photo which is representative of the activity you wish to add. Search for the activity by clicking the "Add" button in the My Activities list.
Search for the Activity to Copy
Search for the activity from which you wish to create your new activity. When you find it, click on the photo of the activity. It will then be added to your My Activities list.
Edit the Built In Activity
Click the "Pencil" icon next to the newly added built-in activity to edit it.
Edit Activity Dialog
The Edit Activity Dialog is where you type in the information for the new activity. Enter any name you choose for the new activity item. All you need to fill in is the Mets and default duration. The "Your Weight", "Avg Watts", and "Calories Burned" will be filled in dynamically when the activity is later used in the activity log diary view, so you don't have to worry about them for now. You also don't have to worry about the Intensity choices (if any), as you can ignore them since you are entering your own Mets value.
Here is a list of METs examples to help you select a value that is appropriate for your new activity:
- 1.0 - sleeping, watching TV
- 1.5 - eating, light office work
- 2.0 - standing
- 2.5 - walking casually
- 3.0 - bowling, volleyball
- 3.5 - vacuuming, golfing with cart
- 4.0 - bicycling slow, gardening
- 4.5 - dancing fast, shooting baskets

- 7.5 - walking climbing hills
- 8.0 - push-ups, sit ups pull ups
- 8.5 - mountain biking
- 9.0 - moving heavy boxes, running cross country
- 10.0 - running 10 min mile, competitive soccer
- 11.0 - rock climbing
- 12.0 - bicycling race, jumping rope fast
- 13.0 - running faster than 8 min mile
- 14.0 - cross country skiing race

Using Your New Activity Item
Once you click OK, the new activity item will be updated in your My Activities list. You can then use it just like any Figwee supplied activity; it is available to add it to your Activity Diary. Note that when you search the activity database to add a new entry to the Activity Log diary, your custom activity will automatically be included in the search results as appropriate.
Deleting an Activity You Created
You can delete a activity you added by simply removing it from the My Activities list. Your custom activity will then no longer be available for any new activity diary entries, but any historical activity diary entries will not be affected.
Editing an Added Activity
You can change the name, mets, or duration for any My Activity item at any time. Just click on the "Pencil" button of the My Activities item and the Edit Activity dialog will appear, and you can make your changes.
