Overview
The My Activities list makes frequently used activities readily available for quick addition to the Activity Log.
My Activities also allows you to customize activities so that your preferences for settings such as intensity and duration
can be remembered and automatically used the next time you add that activity to the log diary.
You may also want to reivew Creating a New Activity to learn how to add a completely new and
custom activity to Figwee.
Adding an Item to My Activities
There are two ways to add an activity to a My Activities. You can use Search to add an existing Figwee activity to the list, or you can add to My Activities from a Activity Log diary entry.
Add Using Search
Search will allow you to look for an activity or exercise in the Figwee database to enter into My Activities. Call up search by clicking the Add button at the top right of the My Activities area.
In the search box, type in the first few letters of the name of the activity. As you type, Search will show photos of matching activities. When you see the item you wish to add to My Activities, just click on the photo. The Search dialog will close and the activity will have been added to the My Activities list.
Add From the Activity Log
You can also add an activity to My Activities from the "Activity Log". You do this by clicking on the "heart" button next to the activity log diary entry.
Removing a My Activities Item
To remove an item from My Activities, simply click the "X" button for the activity you wish to remove. A dialog box will come up asking you to confirm the removal.
Editing a My Activities Item
There are two ways to edit a My Activities item. First, you can simply rename it (see below). Second, you can edit the item to set the default intensity and duration.
Renaming an Activity
You can change the name of any My Activities item. To do so, right click on the activity you wish to change and select "Rename..." from the context menu. A dialog will display allowing you to change the name of the item. Any future activity log diary entry will use the updated name.
Editing Activity Values
You can change the default name, METs, and duration for any Figwee activity or exercise. To edit the default values, click on the "pencil" button next to the My Activities item you want to change. The Edit Activity dialog will be displayed and you can then change the values as you wish. Whatever values you set will be the ones used when the My Activities item is later added to the Activity Log diary.
For example, if you regularly go to the gym and spend 30 minutes on the treadmill, and the treadmill reports a particular MET level, you can set these values into a My Activities "Treadmill" item so that you need only click on the My Activity item to add it to any activity log diary day. Having your usual duration pre-set for the activities you commonly do really helps speed up recording your day to day activities.
Using a My Activities Item
You can add a My Activities item to the Activity Log view by one of three ways:
You can click on the activity photo...
You can click on "plus" button for the My Activities item...
Or you can click on the activity photo and drag and drop it on the Activity Log...
My Activity Items in Activity Log Search. All of your My Activities items are also available from the Search dialog when adding to the activity log diary. That is, to use a My Activities item, you can either find it in the My Activities list itself, or you can click on the Add button above the activity log diary view and search for it along with the built in Figwee activities and exercises. Your choice.
Making it Easier. Drag and Drop can be a little tricky on some internet browsers and slower computers. The fastest way to add a My Activities item to the activity log view is probably to click on the item photo. Hold your mouse still when clicking on the activity photo, lest your browser think you are trying to initiate a drag and drop operation.
Grouping Items By Color
If you right-click on an item in the My Activities list, a special context menu will appear. A group of choices on this menu allow you to set a tab color for the item. The meaning of the colors is up to you...this is simply a way for you to arbitrarily organize your list items. See below for how to sort the list by color.
Sorting the List
You can sort the My Activities by right clicking on an item in the list view and choosing the sort order from the context menu. You can sort by the activity item name, the number of calories burned, duration in minutes, or by your color assignments.
Printing the List
You can print the My Activities list by clicking on the little printer button in the list view header. When you do, a new browser window will open with only the items from the list view displayed against a plain background. Your computer's standard print dialog will automatically be invoked.
