Figwee Organization and Layout
Figwee is not like other web pages you may be familiar with, rather it behaves more like a traditional desktop application, with windows and dialogs. That said, Figwee is organized into different main pages: Home, Food Diary, Activity Log, Results Log, and Settings. There is a navigation bar near the top of Figwee that allows you to choose the main page to display.
Figwee Navigation Bar
The top navigation bar allows you to select the Figwee page to display. Just click on any one of the titles, and the corresponding page will be displayed. The currently displayed page is highlighted as white text on a blue background.
Home Page
The home page is where basic information about Figwee is presented. This is where people unfamiliar with Figwee should start, and it is the default starting page for non-members. Available from the home page is a free version of the Figwee PortionRight dialog which allows non-members to search the Figwee food database and view photographic portion information.
Food Diary Page
The Food Diary page is where you record the food you consume. As you make entries in the Food Diary, Figwee tracks your nutrition information and displays a running account of how many calories you have left to meet your goals. The Food Diary determines "calories in". When you are logged in, the Food Diary page is the default page you are presented with when you first launch Figwee.
Activity Log Page
The Activity Log is where you record the activities and exercise you do throughout the day. The Activity Log is where "calories out" is determined.
Results Log Page
The Results Log makes several items available to track your progress over time. Use this page to record things like your weight, measurements, resting heart rate, and your blood pressure.
Settings Page
The Settings Page is where you maintain your account information, change your password, review your referrals, and set your weight management goal parameters.
No Back Button Please. Since Figwee behaves more like an application than a traditional web page, you don't use your browser's back and forward navigation buttons within Figwee. If you do, you will find Figwee disappears or is reloaded; not harmful, but also not helpful. Instead, focus your navigation within the Figwee page itself. Use the buttons and links that are displayed in the Figwee interface and all will be well.
Figwee System Requirements
You will notice right away that Figwee is not like most other web sites. It is very image intensive and highly interactive. These features are what separateFigwee from the pack, but they come at a cost. Figwee requires a high-speed internet connection; dial-up simply will not work. It also requires a reasonably fast computer running a modern internet browser. Figwee supports Internet Explorer 6 or 7, but it runs best with the latest version of Firefox. If you have not yet tried Firefox, you can download it for free from: www.mozilla.com.
Apple Safari. When We are still working on some compatibility issues with respect to Figwee on Apple Safari. For now, if you are using a Mac, please use Firefox.
